In winters past, Scott Gardner spent his days working as a jeweler and had only thrown axes competitively as a passion. 

Then in 2018, Scott and Lisa opened the first Ironside in West Des Moines to immediate acclaim.

Today, Ironside is now synonymous with professional axe throwing throughout the community and within WATL (World Axe Throwing League) itself.

From the casual player to those competing in the Ironside Open, Ironside has a lane for everyone.
